4. VERIFICATION
4.1 Classification of inspections. The inspection requirements specified herein are
classified as follows:
a. First article inspection (see 4.3).
b. Conformance inspections (see 4.4).
c. Control tests (see 4.5).
4.2 Inspection conditions. Unless otherwise specified (see 6.2), all inspections shall be
conducted under the following conditions:
a. Air temperature: 77 + 15 degrees Fahrenheit (°F).
b. Barometric pressure: 28.5 (+ 2, - 3) inches of mercury.
c. Relative humidity: 50 + 30 percent (%).
4.3 First article inspection. Unless otherwise specified (see 6.2), five relay assemblies
shall be utilized for first article testing (see table I). The relay assemblies shall be representative of
the units proposed to be furnished under the contract. First article inspection shall be done in the
order specified in table II.

4.4 Conformance inspections. Conformance inspection shall include the applicable tests
of table I, as specified in the contract (see 6.2).
4.5 Control tests. When specified (see 6.2), control testing shall include the applicable
tests of table I, as specified in the contract.
